Bearing Mounted Clutch

The Bearing Mounted Clutch is a "Normally Off" type Clutch. It has 2 basic of a coil and a rotor faced with friction material held to the stator by means of the bearing and the Armature plate.

When current flows through the Clutch Coil, the Armature plate is attracted to he rotor with friction material thereby transmitting the torque and is released immediately due to a sinusoidal wave spring, when no current is passing through the coil.

The unit is pre-assembled on a single shaft. It functions similar to Type : ECL clutches. It is incorporated in applications where variable speeds and reversing of drives are desired.

safe design mounted on the shaft extension of the motor on non driving end. Used largely in material handling equipments (crane duly).

EK Type Clutches, EK Type Brakes

'EK' Type Clutches & Brakes

Equivalent to Siemens Germany Make.  These are multiple disc oil immersed (magnetic flux passing through discs) type clutches with slip ring. They are used specially in machine tools Like Milling, Lathe, Grinder, Boring machine etc. Dimensionally clutches and brakes are same. When slip ring is not provided it is used as a brake. Plug type brush holder is required to supply current to clutches only. And brakes are providing with flying leads. No wear adjustment is required during working. After complete wear set of friction discs needs replacement. Standard Voltage is '24 Volts D.C.'

Also available in Dry operation clutch & Brakes, magnet Body with Seal Coil, Internal & External Plates, Discs Armature Plate & Cup.
